Welcome to the Raw Review for October 2, 2017. For both this and Smackdown, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Talking Points

“She’s Alive”

Finn Balor has had a hard time of late ridding himself of Bray Wyatt. He has beaten him two times, both as himself and as the Demon. The Eater of Worlds will not go away. What started as Balor calling out Wyatt quickly changed into something else entirely. For as long as Wyatt has been in the WWE, one of the few things we have known is that Sister Abigail was dead. Wyatt, with two simple words, has turned his entire character up side down. The ghoulish face that seemed in impose itself on his face was horrifying. A feud that seemed to have run out of gas has just become white hot.

The New Cruiser Weight

Enzo Amore is now assuredly a heel. After talking down to his division, he then proceeded to attack the audience. With Amore, his words always contain a nugget of truth. You may boo him, but sometimes you can’t argue with his logic. Much like last week, the cruiser weight division came out to confront him, but Amore had some added protection. If any of the wrestlers touched him, he would be fired. This gave him courage until Kurt Angle walked out and introduced a wrestler who could touch him. Kalisto has returned, in a division which could see him become a big star.

Susan G Koman

Maybe it was because of a recent tragedy that affected someone close to me. Maybe it was the horror that came from Las Vegas. Whatever the reason, The WWE and the Susan G Koman segment makes my list this week. Dana Warrior, along with every women’s wrestler, presented three survivors with their own Women’s Championship Belts. The crowd cheered and all the women hugged. It was a feel good moment, after twenty four hours of sadness. I appreciate that the WWE took time away from their show to showcase a very real cause. Donate if you can, or buy some special WWE merchandise to support the fight against cancer.

Match of the Night

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Roman Reigns (Intercontinental Championship) (Reigns wins by disqualification)

Roman Reigns figured out what appeared to be alien to ever other wrestler: If you want a shot at the Miz, take out the Miztourage. After using a chair to rid the ring of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, Reigns and the Miz had a classic knock down fight. Reigns was getting heavily cheered, showing that the WWE Universe sometimes just want a take no prisoners attitude from the Big Dawg. Reigns looked posed to win, but Sheamus and Cesaro decided to attack him. This was their second attack of the night, after beating down Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. This might go down as the worst idea in history, as Raw closed with the three members of the Shield in the locker room, saying nothing, but speaking volumes

Conclusion

There were some interesting developments on the red brand. Titus O’Neil got back into in ring action against Elias. Mickie James will get her title shot against Alexa Bliss at TLC. And the Shield reunion is coming up fast. Denver was loud for the WWE tonight, so we will see if the next city can match their excitement.
