Welcome to the Raw Review for November 27, 2017. For both this and Smackdown, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Talking Points

Absolution

Maybe there will come a time when Paige, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose will get their comeuppance, but it wasn’t this night. As Sahsa Banks waited for Bayley and Mickie James to join her in the ring, Paige and her cronies announced that they would not be joining her tonight. Asking Banks to join them, The Boss tried to fight back, but was quickly beat down. These ladies feel like Paige is the reason that the women’s division grew and they will attack any one who disagrees. Well, almost everyone. Later, as Askua celebrated a very quick win over Dana Brooke, Absolution came back out. They eyed the Empress, but did not attack. These ladies have brains after all.

#WOKEN

It has been a long time coming, but finally Matt Hardy is going down the path that made him one of the most interesting characters in the independent scene. After a very strange promo from Bray Wyatt, Hardy and the Eater of Worlds fought a match that saw Wyatt win with Sister Abigail. After he left the ring, Hardy began making the delete gesture over and over again. Backstage, he continued his breakdown. I can not wait to see what Hardy brings with his character. It might surprise those who have not see it, but go check out #Broken Matt Hardy and see one of the most original characters ever.

Chairs

Jason Jordan might been having delusions of grander. Deciding to prove that he was 100 percent, he challenged Kane in the main event. It seemend his knee gave out, but that did not stop the Big Red Machine from continuing the assault after the bell. Finn Balor came out and another match was set. Balor did not last long, as Kane used a chair to beat the hell out of him. Just when Kane had Balor’s head in between the chair, Braun Strowman arrived. Kane swung the chair, and Strowman no selled it like a champ. He proceeded to beat Kane all over the ring, ending with two chair shots right to the throat. It seems the Monster Among Men and the Devil’s Favorite Demon are heading for a brutal conclusion.

Match of the Night

Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns vs. Elias (Intercontinental Championship Match) (Reigns wins by pin fall)

The open challenge is now on Raw and Elias was the first one to answer Roman Reigns call. This was a great match, no surprise given that Elias has become a great heel before and during the match. Not even the Mizterouge could help Elias. This was fantastic with a couple of great spots and thrilling near falls. The big story was after the match when Samoa Joe attacked and choked Reigns out. It doesn’t seem that Reigns will have to look for a challenger next week.

Conclusion

Seth Rollins had a long and fantastic match against Cesaro. Afterwards, he announced that he and Dean Ambrose would face the Bar next week for the Tag Team Titles. With the Miz shooting a movie, will the Mizterouge stay with Elias for the near future? Also, I have to give props to Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel for some sweet harmonica skills.
