Welcome to the Smackdown Review for December 12, 2017. For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Talking Points

The Yep Movement

Credit must be given to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for recycling an old bit, but switching who we care about it. Wearing shirts with Yep all over them, Owens and zayni tried to occupy Smackdown much the same way that Danial Bryan did to Raw years ago. They did not enjoy the same support, as only Bryan came out to confront them. Saying that his moment was not about him, but the WWE Universe, Bryan decided that there would be no excuses on Sunday. He named himself the second referee. The match on Sunday could go several different ways, and who will be left standing when it does?

Case Closed

The time had finally come for Tyler Breeze and Fandango to face the two people responsible for months of clues. At Clash of Champions, Breezedango will face the Bludgeon Brothers. A segment that was lighter on comedy then previous episodes, one of the nice touches was that both men seemed a little unsure about there decision. This is the right move, as it makes Breezdango look gutsy for fighting and plays up the danger of the Brothers. The Brothers should win, but Fashion Files should put up a heck of a fight

Hug It Out

As AJ Styles hyped his match on Sunday, The Singh Brothers came out to offer their services and mock Jinder Mahl. I was very scared during this segment, as I thought Styles would accept and then lose the match when they turned on him. Thankfully, the segment did not go down this way as Styles acted like he knew the swerve was coming. After attacking both brothers, he said that his match would be one on one. It was Mahl who had the last word, attacking Styles backstage. Here’s hoping that Mahl and Styles do go one on one and have a fantastic sequel to their earlier match.

Match of the Night

Kevin Owens vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Owens wins by pinfall)

Shinsuke Nakamura has seemed to regain his footing after the failure of his feud with Mahl. He moves quicker and his strikes have the old snap back to them. Owens was his usually self, which is exciting and hard hitting. Most of the focus will be that Bryan, after the first referee was knocked out, counting the pinfall for Owens. Bryan makes the match on Sunday must watch and we will see if he turns heel, or prevents Shane from the turn.

Conclusion

More action then usually on the go home show. Rusev and English got the win over the Usos, and continued the 12 Days of Rusev. The Riott Squad felt the wrath of all the ladies. Bobby Roode has all the momentum after DDTing both his opponents. Every title is on the line on Sunday and I will see you there.
