Welcome to the WWE Raw Review for May 14, 2018. For both this and Smackdown, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Glorious

As London watched, there were three matches for the Money in the Bank. First up was No Way Jose, Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode. Jose has been known for short matches, but he held his own in this one. Corbin looks more interested then he did on Smackdown, but he needs some victories to break out. Roode was the most constant. His Glorious DDT on Jose punched his ticket to the Money in the Bank Match. It has not been spoken of too much, but having both Raw and Smackdown Superstars in the same match is going to give it more punch

Will You Be My Girl

Bayley had a triple threat match against Mickie James and Alexia Bliss for the women. It seemed for most of the match that it would be a handicap as Bliss and James doubled teamed the Huggable One. Bayley fought back, scoring a few near falls. James and Bliss started to break down and attack each other. Bayley focused on James, leaving Bliss to score the pin fall. Bliss might have a very good shot of winning, but with the news that Nia Jax will face Rhonda Rousey at MITB, is winning the best option?

Another Chance.

With Jinder Mhal out, Bobby Lashley and Elias were joined by Kevin Owens. it seems that Kurt Angle’s problems with Stephanie McMahon are not over. This match was a little more fast paced, but one of the highlights was Elias being left alone in the ring, so he tried to sing. With the promo earlier in the night, it was not surprising when Sami Zayn appeared to help out Owens. Owens pinned Elias and is now in Money in the Bank. There is a lot of star power going in to this match.

Match of the Night

Seth Rollins vs.Kevin Owens (Rollins wins by pin fall)

Seth Rollins has become the go to guy for great matches. His opponent was Kevin Owens and both men had a little more spring in their step. Owens does his best work when his opponent is willing to go to a higher place, and Rollins has seemed to leave there the past few weeks. One of a few great spots was Rollins countering the pop up power bomb on the apron. Rollins might be put in the position of taking on Brock Lesnar if he loses the Intercontinental Championship.

Conclusion

Jinder Mahl was attacked by Roman Reigns throughout the night. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler were able to put Braun Strowman and Finn Balor away. The Revival could not overcome the Deleteer of Worlds. Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, now called the B-Team, upset Brezzedango. Sasha Banks, Ember Moon and Natalya defeated the Riott Squad. Next week, Sami Zayn promises to “expose” Bobby Lashley.
