Fans are super hype over the release of the new addition to Elder Scrolls, the Summerset release from Zenimax Online Studios. Some have gone as far as to keep the release a secret from themselves just so no spoilers make their way in, can’t blame them there. With new places to explore and faces to see, Summerset is bound to make its way in to the lives of many gamers.

Queen Ayrenn has now opened Summerset Isle to everyone and this means people will be reunited with family and friends alike. But when such a territory is opened, there is always a way for darkness to come in with it. A Daedric threat hangs heavy over the home of the High Elves and literally threatens all of Tamriel.

Whether you have played Elder Scrolls or not, Summerset is available to all skill levels for enjoyment. New features include, but are not limited to, a 12-player trial, jewelry crafting skills, PvE challenges and the exploration of Artaeum. There is much more but these are just some of the highlights that get me excited. Zenimax also boasted a free trial of Summerset as well but it seemed to be post dated for the release date of May 21, the day the game released. This caused some confusion but along with these surprises are also sales for in game purchases which started before the release as well. Hopefully fans, especially the veterans, jumped on the information to stock up on everything they might need to get ahead of the game.

One of the things I really like about Summerset is the addition of new enemies. In particular one looked to be a Hippogriff much like the iconic one from Harry Potter. Other enemies are much more like Monster Hunter creatures which I cannot name yet. Both require different fighting abilities. Beyond these additions, the maps look fantastic as well. Nothing can beat the ability to get in to a new environment and feel like the game is new all over again. Technically the game is not new, but different.

In the preparation for the release, Zanimax appears to be communicating very often with anyone that has feedback for them. There is even an update planned for various in-game events and social media tags going on as well. The only thing that frustrates me the most is the lag of a server overload and frequent updates that halt the ability to play the game for a while. So far things can be a little slow but nothing seems too overwhelmed with updates. This is all I could find other than some weapons are slower than others and a strategy will need to be in place when playing with friends.

I encourage fans to get in to Summerset and explore the new quests and the 12-player trial as well. Will this stand up to the other releases in Elder Scrolls? That is still unknown for the moment. So far there is nothing bad I can really say about this release and that’s a good thing!
