Welcome to the WWE Raw Review for June 4 2018. For both this and Smackdown, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Always Brothers

Elias was very pleased with himself as he opened the show showing what he did to Seth Rollins last week. Rollins was hot as he came out and the two had a standoff with a guitar and a chair. Rollins was attacked by Jinder Mahl, which brought out Roman Reigns. Kurt Angle booked the four men into a tag match. Reigns was getting a surprising positive reaction from the crowd. Elias hit a DDT on Rollins on a steel chair that looked like it hurt a lot. Elias and Mahl got the win, beating the two men they will meet at Money in the Bank.

200

Curt Hawkins had lost 199 matches in a row. He promised that he would not lose another one as he faced “James Hardin”. The added bonus was if he won, the whole arena would get free tacos. Hawkins looked to have the win in the bag when Baron Corbin showed up to get Hawkins disqualified. When he was confronted by Angle, Corbin announced that he has been made the constable of Raw by Stephanie. This new role should be great for Corbin, and Hawkins back in the spotlight will make a fantastic story when he finally wins.

The Monster

Bobby Roode and Braun Strowman faced off and even Roode announced prior to the match his only goal was to survive. He hit Strowman with everything he had, but the Monster shrugged most of it off. The most insane moment occurred when Strowman broke a ladder that was propped between the ring and the announcers table. After that, it was just a matter of time. Strowman might be the favorite to win MITB, but it seems he is too heavily favored to actually win.

Match of the Night

Finn Balor vs.Kevin Owens (Balor wins by DQ)

Finn Balor looked to get revenge on Kevin Owens after the latter cost him the match last week against Strowman. Owens seemed to lose more of his funny heel and found a new level of viciousness. Balor looked more angry and his moves had a little bit more snap to them. These two fought a lot in NXT and this rivalry should continue. While I like this new mean Owens, a little bit more crazy would be the perfect fit.

Conclusion

Nia Jax beat Natalya after Natalya got injured.  The B-Team won a battle royal to get a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships. Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley continued their war of words. Ember Moon, Sasha Banks and Bayley beat the Riott Squad, but the win was overturned. Next week is a Fatal Four way between the Raw men who are in MITB.
