After the open beta in late June, Ivory put The Crew 2 out in to the public with new open world features in its popular racing game. With different play styles and vehicle availability, the different modes allow for players to still be able to follow a story and become the most revered racing icon.

In a recreated United States, players can now control multiple types of vehicles. From land to sea, players can now utilize boats, cars, airplanes and motorcycles in an open world environment. Now with four worlds too, each has their own play-style. Themes include off-road, street racing, pro-racing and a freestyle option. Games are better with friends however.

The Crew 2 will have a big emphasis on multiplayer and cooperative player modes however. For those not available to get a big group together, as long as they have constant on-line access, then artificial intelligence is also available for anytime racing. With the focus on multiplayer gaming, players will be able to join raids and other events together.

For players that only want to play solo, the nonlinear story can still be accomplished. This is the standard, race to be the top champion in the ranks and become the best. Some players who are more traditional may like to follow this mode better until they want to play in a team. This doesn’t affect the  control physics either. Each vehicle will control slightly different too, creating a unique feel every time play begins.

Graphically the game looks very smooth and nice. The thrill of racing is always fun, more realistic type fun in The Crew 2 compared to other games such as Mario Kart that have silly extras. Sometimes reality is needed to expand the adventures that people can’t do with their friends on a daily basis and that’s fun.
