Welcome to the WWE Raw Review for July 16, 2018. For both this and Smackdown, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show.

Ultimatum

Kurt Angle said that if Brock Lesner did not agree to an opponent, he would be stripped of the title. Paul Heyman came out to a very negative reaction. He pleaded with Angle, but all for naught. Lesner will defend his title at Summerslam. His opponent would be one of six men. Bobby Lashley, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Elias, Seth Rollins or Drew McIntyre. Two triple threat matches were set with the winners meeting next week to determine Lesner’s opponent. A solid segment and amazing how the Universe has turned on Brock Lesner.

The 1st Challenger

Balor, McIntyre and Reigns were first up. Some thoughts on the match itself. Balor is smaller then most of his opptents, but he makes it seem like he can hang with the biggest and baddest. Mcintyre will be main eventing before the year is out. The only reason he is not is a wealth of talent on the roster. Reigns is starting to show some heel tendencies. Reigns winning was the right choice, especially because what happened later in the night

One More Week

Alexia Bliss painted her victory over Nia Jax as some sort of fairytale. She didn’t get to go on for much longer as Rhonda Rousey appeared in the crowd. Bliss and Mickie James tried to run, but Rousey cut them off. After destroying James, Rousey would have broken Bliss’s arm, but Angle talked her down. He added a week to her suspcion, but said if she respects it, she will get a title shot at Summerslam. The first match has been made and Bliss better think of something quick.

Match of the Night

Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley vs.Elias (Lashley wins by pinfall)

The second triple threat had just a little something more then the first. The crowd was jumping up and down with ever near fall. Elias held his own with two of the best  ring workers today. Seth Rollins put up another great match, but after this, he is without a story line. Bobby Lashley winning sets up a possible dream match with Lesner. That is if he can get past Reigns one more time

Conclusion

Mojo Rawley beat Tyler Breeze in a hard hitting match. The Authors of Pain demolished Titus World Wide. Sarah Logan got revenge on Ember Moon. Bayley and Sasha might be heading for a recollection. Bobby Roode fell to Dolph Ziggler. The B-Team beat the Ascension.
