The Banner Saga is back with its final installment in the series; Banner Saga 3. Stoic has worked hard to bring fans of the series a fun tactical role-playing game that has been said to wrap up the plot in this last hooray. In the middle of the hot summer, Banner Saga 3 is sure to cool things down with their journey back in to the world of Norse Mythology.

So far, as announced, the game will take in to consideration all of the players decision up to this point in the series. This is likely to create a large amount of stress, especially since all of the creatures and territories need to be dealt with. This is the time for everything to come to a head and be done and over with.

Banner Saga 3 has the option to be purchased as the Legendary Edition and Deluxe edition as well for varying prices. These options are especially entertaining if you have to have the digital art, music and wallpaper. Only $10USD apart, the ‘Shadow Walker’ heroic, “Petrie Clan Ring’ and ‘Gift of Hadrborg’ exclusives might just be worth the cost.

Much like the Game of Thrones television and book series, the Banner Saga has multiple things happening at once in different territories. Strategy is key here but all of the main characters will still be available to players. Basically the goal is to be in the city while buying time for another caravan to make their journey to you. Mutated soldiers and purple creatures will be harder than ever to fight as everything has escalated since the story began.

Like a game of chess too, enemies will be added to the fight if you don’t defeat the enemies before the time runs out, so think quickly. Everyone needs those special dropped items after defeating a boss too. Willpower will still be a main mechanic in the game but has changed slightly. Now players must position their warriors together now in order for them to buff each other with extra points this time.

Overall, Banner Saga 3 looks highly interesting but definitely a game that involves a prior knowledge of the other games. This seems to be a game that will take time to get to know if you’ve never played before. So maybe start from the beginning to get the full effect of the full plot.
