There have been many impossible questions asked in the world. Probably one of the strangest is how do you describe the WarioWare series to someone who has not played it.? Less of a normal game then a collection of the strangest mini games ever created, Intelligent Systems has created the gold standard for the series. Warioware Gold brings the best of the past games while adding something new on the 3DS.

In the game, you are tasked by Wario to help him get some cash. In order to do this, you must help the supporting cast get through as many of the quick games as they can and fight a boss at the end. How this helps is a little hard to understand, but you will be having such a good time you won’t even notice. From helping a cat by holding a umbrella in the rain to ripping a band aid of a skinned knee, you will be amazed at how crazy things can get.

Quick is not just some sort of marketing game buzzword. The games last usually about five seconds or less. You might think this is a lot of time, but the objective is not always clear. A one word hint appears before ever game and sometimes you will be on your own. WarioWare Gold has taken from every game in the series and created some new ones as well for a total of over 300 games. If you think that the older min games have been changed for the 3DS, you really don’t know Wario. Be prepared to button mash, tilt your system and even use the microphone to pass some of these games. If you have a friend with the title, you can challenge each other in a multiplayer mode.

The truth has always been either you get WarioWare or you don’t. The games are crazy and fun, but if it is not your thing you might be lost. If you are a gamer who has never played the series, WarioWare Gold is actually a great place to start since it takes from all games. This is a game that almost demands to be played at a party, If you bring it out, just make sure people know what they are getting into. Even if you can’t explain what the game actually is.
