Unravel Two was released in June 2018 and was largely missed by players of the original game Unravel. EA provides a beautiful look in to the new game with videos and photos but there has been little media outlets talking about this game.
In standard Unravel fashion, one to two Yarnys can now play in this physics platform puzzle game. Now with the addition of co-op play, two players can work together to build new friendships. They are both connected by one piece of yarn and will need to jump, swim, catapult and swing in order to chase their spark.
Artistically, Unravel Two still has amazing backgrounds and unique perspective on their characters. Although the world is large, the Yarnys are small and have to take their time getting through all of the obstacles before them. Even as a single player, levels are still astounding to look at and every subtle change in the story makes a large impact.
If the story has been developed like the first game, there will be tender moments and a larger plot at play. By the end of Unravel Two there will be a new set of memories and thoughts to go along with all of the touching moments. Seeing what the story reveals can be a very touching experience. Not only does the game build thinking skills, but also can be played with families and a wide variety of age ranges.
Unraveled Two is just as good as the first game and can still be tricky but the ending is worth the wait. Some opinions lean toward wishing that more media coverage pushed this game. Hopefully audiences will still continue to follow along and maybe an underground classic will be born to only those that know about it. So share the love and friendship while playing a good game together.
