One of the most anticipated games this year has been Call of Duty Black Ops 4, a part of the original Call of Duty Black Ops series created by Treyarch . The series alone has been one of the most successful Call of Duty games to date. For those that have not been following along with the updates and other releases of the game, there is a lot of information to go over for this new release.
The previous three games in the trilogy mainly focused on a time-traveling storyline. For a single-player game, the plot was very meaty as well as had nice twists and additions such as nice visuals and a lot of customization. Just like most other games, players naturally look forward to what the next game will have and what the new features will be.
For players that particularly enjoy the ability to just play alone, this feature is now gone. Players will now have to be in team-based gameplay much like other games such as Overwatch. With Blackout being one of the main features, this team-based mode will start off like Fortnite or PUBG. Players will face a dark screen and then prepare to jump from a plane over a map, the difference however, is the player is wearing a wing-suit instead of a parachute. This battle royal mode is rumored to maintain the core values of the Call of Duty games, at least we hope.
Other features in the game too will now have slight changes. For example, there are 10 characters to choose from where players will play small solo missions in order to get a feel for the abilities. The Fog of War feature ads a new spin on a match as well. Fog hinders sight at a distance so players will wander around until someone is close enough to start firing. Black Ops 4 also will have a zombie feature (a returning favorite) and 4 new maps, such as the map of the Titanic!
Weapons will still continue to mostly remain the same. Hardcore players will come across the Signature Weapons however. These weapons now have fancy skins and can be enhanced by playing through challenges that are very specific. At that point, the weapon becomes more of a symbol that can be handled with pride. Lastly, weapons will now also be at-the-ready for defense. There is no point where players must wait to draw their weapons anymore.This is especially helpful to know now that healing is going to a timed method. Players will now need to wait before healing again, so get out of the way, will ya?
Overall, if players give the multi-player modes a chance then Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will still be amazing. The only difference is that the game is officially what it should have been from the beginning.
