Welcome to the Raw review for November 5, 2018. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

No Partner

Seth Rollins walked to the ring with all three of the titles. He spoke about Dean Ambrose being in the building, but said he would not call him out. He got no further as Baron Corbin appeared on screen and said that Rollins would defend the Tag Team Titles against the Authors of Pain. Rollins gave it his all, but nothing could stop the AOP from getting their first taste of main roster gold. After the match, Ambrose appeared and asked if Rollins wanted to know why he turned on him. Rollins said yes, but Ambrose just hit Dirty Deeds and walked out. While I was kinda wanting a conflicted Tag Team, this rivalry gets hotter and hotter each week.

Bloodline

Nia Jax took on Ember Moon in what was seen as a match to get on the woman’s Survivor Series Team. Moon tried, but Jax was simply too much as she scored the pin. After the match, Tamina made her way to the ring. The question if she and Jax are friends are enemies was answered as Tamina attacked Moon. Jax looked surprised, but then joined in on the beat down. There is mounting evidence every week that Women’s Tag Team Titles are on the way, most of the women are being paired up, and these two might be unstoppable.

Captain

It seems that Kurt Angle likes being in the ring instead of being in charge. This week, he wanted to captain the Raw Men’s Team, which consists of Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman at the moment. Corbin did not want this, but Angle got him to agree that if he beat him in a match, he would get his wish. Corbin changed the match so that Angle would face Mcintyre. Angle did everything he could, but McIntyre was simply too much. A good match that put the psychopath in the Scottish Psychopath.

Match of the Night

Bayley, Sasha and Natalia vs. The Riott Squad (No Contest)

A rematch from Evolution that was given plenty of time on the red brand. Both teams looked great and Bayley is still the most over woman in Manchester. It was the ending that gave this match the spot. For awhile, the Riott Squad have been seen as nuisances, your younger sisters who are annoyances. That changed as Ruby Riott destroyed a pair of sunglasses Natalya wore to the ring that were her late fathers’. The crowd went silent as Natalya sobbed. The Riott Squad is finally a group who are evil and not afraid to cause serious problems.

Conclusion

Bobby Lashley finally beat Finn Balor. Elias beat Ziggler. Apollo Crews beat Jinder Mahl. Strowman hunted Corbin through out the night. Alexia Bliss will be the captain of the Women’s Survior Series.
