Welcome to the Smackdown Review for November 6, 2018. For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show

Talking Points
Co Captains

Paige kicked off Smackdown by bringing Shane McMahon out to a chorus of boos. Paige seemed to be ok with Shane winning at Crown Jewel, but he said that the only thing that was important is that someone on Smackdown won. He then announced that Danial Bryan would be the captain of the blue brand’s Survivor Series Team. That brought out the Miz who made his case. Shane agreed and made him co-captain. It seems as if the rivalry with Bryan and the Miz is not finished. And Shane did not tun…yet.

Let’s Play

Becky Lynch answered Rhonda Rousey’s promo from last night. Lynch was on her game her, ending the promo by saying Rousey might be the biggest b**ch, but at Survivor Series “I’m going to make you mine.” Lynch was feeling fired up and threw out on open challenge. It was Nikki Cross who answered. A fine match followed with Lynch getting the win, but Cross looking strong. Cross is such an incredible character and she could be a fantastic addition to Smackdown. And of some note, the crowd cheered for her against Lynch.

Age is Nothing

Cien and Rey Mysterio faced off for the first time ever in WWE. This was a fantastic match and showed that Meystrio coming back meant he had a lot more in the tank. This match could have gone on for forty minutes and I don’t think anyone would complain. A long feud with both these men is a must. It almost got match of the night, but the winner was just a little bit better.

Match of the Night

New Day vs. The Usos (Usos win by pin fall)

It’s been awhile since both these teams have gotten this spot. A match to determine who would captain the Tag Team Survivor Series team, these five men just picked up where they had left off. Big E and Kingston make everything thing they do be funny and painful. Jimmy and Jay are still the best tag team now, and our making a serious push for best of all time. It’s a testament that these two teams can keep fighting each other and everything looks fresh.

 Conclusion

Paige introduced the women Survivor Series Team, and it looks like Sonya Devill and Mandy Rose are heading for a split. Samoa Joe beat Jeff Hardy to earn a spot on the team, but attacked Bryan after. Randy Orton attacked Mysterio after his match.
