Anyone excited to be a hired assassin has inevitably been following the Hitman 2 release published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by IO Interactive. In a world where you can use anything in the world as a weapon, the options to do your job are endless. Seriously, using a rubber duck is ingenious if not a little weird.

This time around, 47 is back to hunt the “Shadow Client” and of course take down everything and everyone else in the way. After a good first impression with Providence, 47 is hired on to do more investigating of the rest of the Shadow Client’s militia. 47 will also be sent to seven different locations in the story.

Much like the first Hitman game, the reboot from 2015, Hitman 2 plays much the same. There is a new sandbox feature that allows players to explore 6 locations that are extremely detailed. This allows players to mess with almost anything to use alongside their assassination plans. In the long list of objects to use, this is where you can craft your bombs, grenades and more. Everything is at your disposal on your mission, but you have to be open minded and willing to explore your options on the fly. For example, shooting a chandelier or a clump of coconuts instead of just shooting your target can and will do the job just fine.

A new mode was added to the game as well, the Sniper Assassination. This is an online co-op mode built to play with friends. With the pre-order of the game, players got instant access before the official game release. In this mode, three high profile people are the target at an extravagant event and they must be taken out alongside their bodyguards. Stealth, a prime necessary skill in the game, will come in handy here during the big outdoor event where your targets are located. Each event is time-limited as well so skills should be utilized quickly. If playing co-op isn’t your style, then this mission can be played solo as well.

The largest component to Hitman 2 that makes it different than the first game, is the ability to use anything as a weapon. Sadly, since the gameplay is the same as Hitman, this stealth game has a very specific fanbase. Other than having new missions in other areas (such as Mumbai) the playstyle isn’t different in any way. So, fans should enjoy the co-op mode and the intrigue of trying to use an iron to take out their enemies.
