Welcome to the Smackdown Review for November 27, 2018. For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show
Talking Points
The Man Comes Around
Becky Lynch is officially back. The Man and the Champion opened the show saying that she was tired of watching from the back and she would put herself back in action. She called out Charlotte, and any chance that the goodwill between them would last is gone. Charlotte stayed right there with Becky, some nervous ticks occurring. Lynch and Charlotte will meet in a TLC match for the title. They will not be alone, as Askua won a Battle Royal to join them. This might just be the match of the pay-per-view.
20 Years
Jeff Hardy celebrated 20 years with the WWE Universe. The video package was very well put together, making even Jeff choke up. He thanked his family and the fans, saying this was not a retirement speech. The good mood soured as Samoa Joe came out. Referencing some of the real life struggles that Jeff has had, he said that made Jeff weak. Jeff challenged Joe to get in the ring, but Joe deferred. Looks like another match for TLC is on the table, and these are the type of matches Jeff excels at.
Mask
Randy Orton is just so damn good when he has a storyline he can sink his teeth into. Carrying the mask he took from Rey Mysterio last week, Orton said that he wanted to destroy Mysterio and embarrassed him in front of those who love him. Mysterio came to the ring and a brawl commenced. Mysterio tried, but the injuries from last week were too much. Another chair was used, meaning the second letter has it’s own match coming up.
Match of the Night
The Usos vs. The Bar ( The Usos win by pinfall)
One of the best tag teams in the division got another chance to shine as the Usos took on the Bar in a non title match. The USos and the Bar are just great together, so I will focus on the fact that eventually the Big Show will get involved and the Usos might need some back up. Perhaps the big man from New Day? Or maybe someone who’s more like family?
Conclusion
The Miz lost to Kofi Kingston. Nakamura took out Rusev before their match even started. Styles said that Bryan was not there and not at any of the house shows.
