Depending on what side of the discussion you are on, you probably either enjoying Battlefield V, or probably disliking it a lot. Coming from a military town, there have been some interesting thoughts on the release. EA DICE added in some new elements in this sixteenth installment which seems to be more progressive than a tactic to turn heads.

Coming from the neutral ground when it comes to military tactics and the whole political debate, history has always been taught and so the thought that I know what events took place and when is pretty high up there on the scale of things that are just known. With that said, the facts of Battlefield V are different from what people already know and that has caused some widespread upset. For example, the addition of women in the game isn’t completely accurate in the position they play and some events of WWII aren’t completely accurate either. Regardless, the game is still playable, it’s just that some people are critically looking at these differences. If you’re bothered by changes like this, then the game could be ruined.

Like most games of the current day, Battlefield V is continuing with the party based features, limited resources and trying to make the game as realistic as possible. There’s a higher focus on player customization which is great if you’re into that. Any players addicted to constantly changing the mods on their weapons will be ecstatic with this company feature.

Other features revolve around making the play experience seem like a campaign. So, basically, the “Grand Operations” mode takes players across several stages in order to recreate a version of a campaign from the war. This seems all cosmetic really in the long run. There is a “combined arms” mode making ammo and other items hard to find, and of course “firestorm” which is a battle royale type mode. In a way, this seems to be a trial for the developers to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. There isn’t anything here players haven’t already dealt with in another game, the players just simply don’t have one option for an upgrade that makes everything better as a whole.

Anyone that is in love with the game already shouldn’t have problems because nothing has really changed, it’ the features that have. You get a woman character which is neither here nor there depending on your preference. Now, there are multiple play modes to try but it’s nothing everyone hasn’t already seen before. Maybe the large map will grab some attention. Overall, the game really isn’t that different.
