Welcome to the Raw review for December 3, 2018. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

The Mountain

Baron Corbin decided that Braun Strowman might make it back for their match at TLC, so he decided to shore up his allies. He presented Drew McIntyre with  a gold medal and said that tonight was officially his night. Dolph Ziggler showed up and the question of is McIntyre and Ziggler still a team was answered. McIntyre ran down Ziggler, saying that he had used him to get back on the main roster. Ziggler attacked him and left him laying. Ziggler might do well as a babyface, as the crowd popped for his attack.

The Private War of Finn Balor

With so much power in the heels camp, it seems that Finn Balor had decided that he would wage his own rebellion. He first helped Ziggler in his match against McIntyre. He then caught an escaping Lio Rush from the wrath of Elias and threw him right into the path of a guitar. He faced off against Jinder Mahl, who was picked by Corbin to stop him. These little acts seemed to have an effect as Apollo Crews came to his aid and helped him win the match. Balor as a general is a good role for him.

The Ref

Corbin decided to stir up some trouble when he made heath Slater and Rhyno face off with the loser getting fired. Rhyno gave it his all, but Slater was able to come out on top. He was not happy about it. Backstage, Corbin said that Slater would now be a referee. You might think this is a odd story to make a moment of the night, but trust me, Slater as a referee is going to cost Corbin. There is going to be a match in the future where Corbin will be in the ring and and the face giving orders will belong to Slater.

Match of the Night

Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler (Ziggler wins by pinfall)

The old saying that good friends make the best opponents was proven again as the former tag team champions tore into each other. McIntyre was a beast, simply no one on the main roster now can match his quickness and strengh. Ziggler was high flying, but it seemed like the Scotsmen was going to prevail when a referee being knocked down allowed Balor to attack McIntyre waiting for him when he got back in the ring was a kick from Ziggler.

Conclusion

Lucha House Party beat Scott Dawson. AOP  and Drake Maverick beat Bobby Roode and Chad Gable. Ember Moon and Rhonda Rousey beat Nia Jax and Tamina. We got our first mention on air of Women Tag Team Titles.
