Welcome to the Smackdown Review for December 4, 2018 For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show

Talking Points
Three

Becky Lynch has very little of a champion’s advantage in her match at TLC. Charlotte has proved time and time again to rise to any challenge and Askua still is very dangerous. Charlotte has grown more confident in her promos with Lynch, cutting her off and not allowing her to speak. Askua even played devil, insulting both women and making them turn on each other. The TLC match was always going to be good, but the addtion of Askua now makes it must watch

1/3 of Tag Team

Xavier Woods, Jey Uso and Cesaro fought in a triple threat match while their partners looked on. This type of new match makes these three teams seem fresh all over again. Jey and Xavier had a fantastic back and forth early in the match. The real star was Cesaro who spun Jey while having Woods on his back. With the announcement that these three teams will meet at TLC, an already stacked card just got higher.

Fickle

Daniel Bryan on Miz TV raised the question if the two bitter rivals would be friends or a turn was coming. The answer is still unclear, but Bryan gave a fantastic promo. Somewhere in the middle of genius and insanity, Bryan justified his actions while condemning the WWE Universe for their acts of pollution. He quoted Alexander Hamilton. He mocked the What chant. He threw his Yes nameplates on the floor. Just a fascinating few minutes.

Match of the Night

AJ Styles vs. The Miz ( Styles wins by submission)

Occurring because of an interaction early in the night, Styles and the Miz tore the house down. As much as these two have been on opposite sides, there have been surprisingly few matches between them. Just a hard and fast match, with Bryan on commentary being set off by the most trivial of topics. After Styles won, Bryan delivered a post match beat down as savage as Randy Orton. If you listen, Bryan was chanting “Daniel Bryan” as he threw Styles around

 Conclusion

Jeff Hardy lost to Randy Orton, thanks to a public service announcement from Samoa Joe. Sonya Devil and Mandy Rose upset Charlotte and Askua.
