Welcome to the Raw review for December 17, 2018. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

A Fresh Start

We knew that Vince McMahon would be in the building for Raw. What we didn’t expect was all the members of the McMahon family to join him. Saying that the time had come to take back Raw, The McMahon said that the fans would now be the Authority. This will take awhile, any expectation that the show would be revamped immediately is ludicrous, but the premise is intriguing. What might the fans do with this new power.

The Final Chance

Baron Corbin tried to make a case to the McMahon that he was screwed over in his match at TLC. Triple H gave him a chance, provided he beat Kurt Angle. What followed was a lot of fun as Triple H and Shane kept making the match unfair for Corbin. A beat down by the babyfaces ended with an Angle Slam and Corbin going through the table. He might not be the GM, but at lest he was not fired

Change

Some new faces and some returning ones are headed to Raw. We have seen Lars Sullivan, but Heavy Machinery and EC3 will be joining him. On the women’s side, Lacy Evans and Nikki Cross are headed to the main roster. We also got videos promoting the return of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Some new blood and some returning fans might totally reshape Raw

Match of the Night
Women’s Gauntlet Match (Natalya wins by submission to challenge Ronda Rousey next week)

The last hour of Raw was one big match with the winner getting a shot at the Raw Women’s belt next week. This match really kicked into gear when Natalya entered. She had to beat three women in order to win. Rousey vs Natalya is a match a lot of us thought we would see earlier, but the fight next week should be good

Conclusion

Drew McIntyre interrupted the battle between Finn Balor and Dolph Ziggler. Tyer Breeze fell in an open challenge to Dean Ambrose. The Revival won to become the new number one contender for the Tag Team Championship.
