Talking Points
The Man and The Empress
Becky Lynch and Askua are a perfect example on how to build hype for a match where the two people are liked by the crowd. No forced tag team or some made up drama, just two women out to prove they are the best. Lynch took down one of the IIconics and then Askua took down the other. Perfect. Just let the talent build the match
Hotel
Mandy Rose continued her quest to destroy Naomi through Jimmy Uso. She sent him a hotel key and Jimmy actually showed up. Rose had no interest in Jimmy and just wanted some pictures to hurt Naomi. Jimmy would not have to explain as he brought his wife with him and a hotel brawl commenced. Rose is acting truly vicious, telling Sonya Devill that she wants to destroy Jimmy and Naomi marriage, just because it will hurt Naomi.
Birthday Boy
The Miz promised a big celebration for Shane and he delvered. After a nice cake and some awesome Jordans, Miz played a highlight reel. Shane seemee generally moved by the love shown to him by the crowd. I don’t know how or when The Miz will turn, but it is going to hurt. And yes, the cake did end up in Sheamus’s face after a coast to coast
Match of the Night
Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade (Andrade wins by pinfall)
The sequel usually never lives up to the original. This was one of the rare exceptions where everything was perfect. The two men started slow and continued to build steam through the match. By the end, the match had garnered two This is Awesome chants. Just let these two fight forever please.
Conclusion
Samoa Joe found his mean streak and destroyed Mustafa Ali before the bell even rung.
