Welcome to the Raw review for January 21 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

Sacrfice

If Finn Balor has any chance of winning on Sunday, he must find a way to counter Brock Lesnar’s strengh. Paul Heyman played up the differences, saying that Balor would be a sacrifice to those who believe. Vince McMahon sowed up to agree, telling a widely inaccurate story about David and Goliath. Strowman and Balor then appeared, each arguing their clam to the title. Just a fantastic opening to the show

Done Talking

Alexia Bliss’s third show did not go off without some problems. Women kept interrupting to say they would win the Rumble and started a brawl. Bliss did not like this one bit. The two big pieces of news was that Bliss will be in the Rumble and that Lacy Evans might have made the entire Raw Women’s locker room her enemies. Loorrrdd.

Major Brothers

Curt Hawkins has been a little MIA the past few weeks. All that changed when he was made the referee for the Revival’s Championship match against Roode and Gable. He called it down the line, even if it meant that three counts were stopped. The Revival loss and took their frustrations out on him until Zack Ryder made the save. Please, let this be the beginning of something for both men

Match of the Night
Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre (Rollins wins by pinfall)

2019 is going to be the year of Drew McIntyre. The talented Scotsman is simply killing it every night with everyone. Give him someone like Rollins and you have got a classic on your hands. The slam off the second rope followed by the powerbomb was awesome. McIntyre is the future of Raw.

Conclusion

Lucha House Party beat Jinder Mahl and The Singh Brothers. Heavy Machinery beat the Ascension. Sasha Banks and Bayley beat Ronda Rousey and Natalya. Apollo Crews lost to Bobby Lashley. Baron Corbin beat Elias.
