Welcome to the Smackdown Review for February 5, 2019 For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show

Talking Points

The Boss

Becky Lynch did not look suspended as she entered the ring. She was surrounded by officials until Triple H came out to say that until she visits a doctor, she should go home. Lynch brought up Stephanie and The Game took it to a another level. He planted the seed that Lynch does not want to fight Ronda and is looking for a way out. Some people might not understand this promo, but it was fantastic way to make Lynch the underdog once again.

Unholy

Rusev and Nakamura teamed against Gallows and Anderson. This was a strange pairing, but I think it was used to get a dysfunctional tag team together, something I always enjoy. There is a feeling that Rusev and Lana might be suckering Nakamura to drop his guard, so they can get revenge for the past few weeks.

Street Preacher

I wanted to include this last week, but Samoa Joe has taken it to the extreme with his recent promo work. I liken it to a street preacher, a man who uses words like a tailor uses cloth. A man passionate as calls down all the fire and brimstone he can. Joe has been let lose and this manner of promo does wonders for anyone trying to be a monster in the ring. More of this Joe, please.

Match of the Night

Mustafa Ali vs. Randy Orton (Orton wins by pinfall)

Ali has been part of some of the greatest moments in Smackdown since he arrived. He just does things a person should not be able to do. Randy Orton was up for this match and the two beat the hell out of each other. It still amazes me that Orton can keep coming up with new ways to RKO someone. The only con was Ali’s eye that looked to be swollen from a hard hit

 Conclusion

Mandy Rose pinned Naomi in tag team action. Jeff Hardy won by DQ to Daniel Bryan.
