People unite! The 2019 Toy Fair in New York is happening right now and companies, as well as kids, can be super excited at all of the chaos that is happening. Many people flood the doors to the Jacob J. Kavits Center to see the latest toys, companies, and events and to just have fun. With all of the different exhibitors showing off their fantastic toys, there is one in particular that really catches the eye, that one company being Funko.
This is close enough to the beginning of the year where Funko releases their new and upcoming lines and shows them off to the world. Recently Funko announced 53 (yes that’s a correct number) of pops ready to pre-order now.
Out of all of the announcements, here are a few that I’m the most excited about.
First, the most iconic to catch all of the attention would have to be the Ghostbusters Movie Moment and the GhostBusters tower pops. Everyone needs a good slime catching movie moment.
Second, the Jim Henson Icon pop. There will be two versions of Jim Henson one version will have Kermit while the other will have Bert. He is truly a legend!
Third, for any young adults that remember when the bubblegum pop bands were causing mass hysteria, these sets will have you melting. N’SYNC and Backstreet Boys will have their own sets of pops. The Backstreet Boys will feature the white clothing from “I Want it that Way.”
Another epic pop that I think everyone will be excited for too is the large Jaws shark. One version is just the shark while the other has the bomb in its mouth. Literally, everyone just needs it, like Golem needs his precious.
Of all of these pops, there are too many to list in one place. Some of the others that deserve honorable mentions are Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Forest Gump, Cheers, Nascar, MLB mascots and last but not least, the Kool-Aid man. All of the new releases are up for pre-order now but right now it’s unclear when they will ship out. So hold your place now before everything gets gone!!
