Welcome to FastLane for March 10, 2019. For all WWE pay-per-views, I will go over every match, share the highlights and look ahead to the next show.

Big E & Xavier Woods vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev (New Day wins by pinfall)

For two teams that were thrown together at the last minute, the New Day and Rusev and Nakamura went at each other like belts were on the line. They were perfectly matched, with speed and strength on both sides. The New Day had a little more  motivation, as Kofi was called into the Mcmahon office to talk about the championship prior to the match. New Day won, but Rusev and Nakamura looked sharp.

Highlights Big E and Woods slam/backbreaker Nakamura

Woods is powerslamned on the floor by Rusev and Nakamura

Nakamura pulls the rope away from Woods caught in the Acolyte.

Up Up Down Down is executed perfectly.

Grade: 9 out of 10

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon (Usos win by pinfall)

Cleveland was hot for the Miz as he returned home. The Usos were greeted as huge heels. It is always awesome to see someone get to perform in front of their hometown. Miz was trying to do everything, at it cost him as he listened  to his father and tried a frog splash, which resulted in a rollup. Shane attacked him afterwards, even mocking the Miz’s father. Miz is offically a babyface.

Highlights: Shane is picked out of the air by Jay

Miz jumps from the top rope onto both Usos.

Miz jumps right into two Super Kicks.

Shane intercepts a jumping Jay with a Coast to Coast.

Grade: 8 out of 10

SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Mandy Rose (Askua wins by pinfall)

Mandy Rose when she debuted would last five seconds against Askua. This Rose stayed with her the entire time. Sonya Devill played a part but not the one she wanted. Trying to get a weapon for Rose, she left the ring apron in the ring and Rose slipped and was pinned. Will this mean Devill will have a match against Askua or are Rose and Devill headed for a breakup?

Highlights: Askua turns every offensive by Rose into a submission move.

Askua is caught in the ropes and Rose catches her with a knee.

Grade: 7 out of 10

Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. Chad Gable & Bobby Roode (Triple Threat Match) (The Revival win by pinfall)

While Raw seems to have the lesser of the tag team divisions, matches like this show why they have a lot to offer. Alister Black and Ricochet were just on fire the entire time. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode showed why they were former champions. The Revival showed why they hold the belts. A Master class in tag team wrestling.

Highlights: THE WHOLE DAMM MATCH

Grade: 10 out of 10

US Champion Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade vs. R-Truth (Joe wins by pinfall)

The matches are just building on themselves. A match that until just before the show started didn’t exist. Joe was a beast. Rey is ageless. Andrade is a main eventer in every match. R-Truth got some major offense, even if the moves were John Cena’s. A fantastic match, with Joe retaining showing that the US Title is worth fighting for.

Highlights: THE WHOLE DAMM MATCH!

Grade: 10 out of 10

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Nia Jax & Tamina

Bayley and Sasha Banks would have to rely on their speed in order to match Tamina and Nia Jax’s power. Jax and Tamina seemed to be toying with the champions. Banks and Bayley found their second wind and were able to overpower the duo. The post match beatdown showed that Jax and Tamina are not going anywhere, even if that means going through Natalya and… Beth Phoenix.

Highlights:  Tamina and Jax catch a diving Banks.

Bayley flies onto all three members.

Phoenix punches Tamina.

Grade: 8 out of 10

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Kevin Owens vs. Mustafa Ali (Bryan wins by pinfall)

The match was changed to a Triple Threat with Mustafia Ali joining the party. The crowd was NOT happy it was not a certain New Day. The three fought hard to get the crowd back, but it was an uphill battle. The crowd  eventually came around as these three fought a great match. Bryan winning means there is only one opponent left.

Highlights: The crowd chants for Kofi a lot during the match.

The final Yes kick finally hits.

Bryan turns Ali inside out with a clothesline.

Owens hits a Senton on Bryan with Ali on his back.

Ali hits a Spanish Fly

Ali hits a 405 on Bryan on the ring apron

Grade: 10 out of 10

Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch (If Becky wins, she gets added to Raw Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania) (Lynch wins by DQ)

Charlotte was perfect in her role as the taunting smug heel. Lynch was hobbled, but fought back whenever she could. This match was decided by Ronda Rousey. Coming to the ring and attacking Lynch, Rousey made sure that Lynch would be at Wrestlemania. It was the smartest way to build the final chapter before Wrestlemania.

Grade: 7 out of 10

The Shield vs. Baron Corbin, Drew Mcintyre & Bobby Lashley (

This match was a little hard to grade. Watching Roman Reigns in the ring since his return made me happy. The Shield was one of my favorite factions and it was just cool to see them together again. The crowd was solely behind Reigns and his team. The strange thing was that the announcers kept bringing up the fact the Dean Ambrose was leaving. The match had the crowd rolling.

Highlights: THE WHOLE DAMM MATCH!

Grade: 10 out of 10

Final Thoughts: Kofi was put into a handicap match against the Bar. Wrestlemania will belong to him. Elias had some funny bits throughout the night. A great pay-per-view with some changes which made you feel like anything could happen.
