Welcome to the Raw review for March 11, 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.
Good Bye
Roman Reigns , Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose came out as the Shield one last time. Reigns thanked both men and then turned the microphone over to Rollins. Rollins didn’t get much out before Paul Heyman interrupted. What occurred was a back and forth where Rollins pointed out that Lesnar rolls over big men, he has a problem with smaller opponents. Heyman tried to justify that The Beast was not ready for them, but it was a damn good point. Shelton Benjamin came out of nowhere to attack Rollins. Is the Minnesota Stretching Crew back together?
Bad Wagon B**ches
Ronda Rousy was out and she was having none of the boos from the WWE Universe. She then proceeded to rattle off a great promo, calling back to her infamous video from the past week while saying that both Charlotte and Becky Lynch had no chance against her. Dana Brooke came out, but she was quickly dispatched by Rousey. Ronda even slapped a referee for good measure. This take no prisoners attitude shows that Rousey keeps going higher and higher
One Last Match
Kurt Angle said that he will wrestle his final match at Wrestlemania. Angle has defined the odds his entire career from the Olympics to pro wrestling. He deserves to have one final match where he can be shown the respect he deserves. The only question is who will he face? I hope that it is someone who can bring out the best in him, giving the fans one last look at a legend.
Match of the Night
Dean Ambrose vs. Drew McIntyre (Falls Count Anywhere) (McIntyre wins by pinfall)
This match happened after Drew attacked Roman Reigns before his match against Baron Corbin. This was a frantic brawl, showing that Ambrose can still go to that crazy place when he wants. Mcintyre makes everything he does looks like it hurts and he enjoys inflecting pain. Ambrose loss, but he looked better then he had in months.
Conclusion
Tamina and Nia Jax have a date with Natalya and Beth Phoenix. Finn Balor lost the Intercontinental Championship to Bobby Lashley. Alexia Bliss is the host of Wrestlemania. Batista will face Triple H at Mania in a No Holds Barred Match. Shelton Benjamin fell to Rollins. Aleister Black and Ricochet beat Chad Gable and Bobby Roode.
