Talking Points
Why Shane
A much more cocky and subdued Shane McMahon came to the ring. After forcing the announcer to introduce him three different times, Shane talked about how he was sick of being used by everyone. Every time someone comes up to him, they are asking for a favor. That is why Shane attacked Miz, because he wants to stop giving. Shane challenged the Miz to a match at Wrestlemaina. Shane was hated by the crowd, a moment that shows this feud could become scorching hot.
Rent is Due
Randy Orton came out to rundown the career of one AJ Styles. Wondering why Styles was respected while he was in the indies and Orton was winning championships, Styles came out to show a little truth. Saying that Orton always had backup and that he would never make it in the indies, Styles said that Orton’s success came only from his father. Styles then challenged Orton to a match at Wrestlemania. When you have a crowd chanting this is awesome for a promo? You are doing something right.
No More Crutch
Finally ditching her crutch, Becky Lynch came to the ring, smiled, and said that Rousey attacking her was all part of the plan. She said that she was going to take back everything they had tried to keep her from. Charlotte came out and made a good point: Lynch has only been popular for the last few months. Charlotte said she was a legend and that she did not need a handout to win, the irony I know.
Moment of the Night
The New Day and Vince McMahon Promo
I feel that in a way, the New Day has been preparing fro this promo their entire life. After attacking the people who had attacked them earlier, Big E, Xavier Woods told Vince exactly what they thought. Saying that they have done everything for him and asking nothing in return, they demanded that Kofi get his shot at Wrestlemania. Vince ran down why he would not, even mentioning that Daniel Bryan had called Kofi a B+ player. Kofi then took the microphone. Saying what he had missed for this company, he asked what he had to do to get his shot. Vince ordered a gauntlet match for next week against almost all the heels in the company. A powerful closing statement.
Conclusion
The Hardy Boys, Allister Black and Ricochet beat The Bar, Rusev and Nakmura. Kevin Owens and Mustafia Ali fell to Rowan and Daniel Bryan. Mandy Rose might have cost Sonya Devill a win against Askua https://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown
