About twenty minutes outside of Seattle, the town of Everett sits quietly and calmly. It is here where the creators of Funko have their Head Quarters. For the die hard fans of Funko, this is the place where fun is made and almost every Pop! you can think of is stored. We took a trip out there to tell you what it’s actually like.
Even if you do not know the address, it would be hard to miss the giant Funko Pops around the building. Standing in line, you are allowed to enter only when another guest has left. This allows for a less crowded experience and you can take as much time as you want. You can look in the giant windows. Once inside, you are presented with a price menu which has a map of the store on the reverse. If you don’t by anything, there is still a lot to see. One mystery was solved just by paying attention where the store is located. Those original creatures that come from Wetmore Forest? The street Funko HQ is located on is Wetmore
The store is divided into different sections, each with it’s own theme. There is a Harry Potter section which looks like Diagon Alley. You will have to look closely to see all the Pop Figures hidden in the shadows. A Star Wars section transports shoppers to the icy planet of Hoth, complete with a giant Pop Wampa! In the back is where the exclusives are, including a Freddy Funko you can only get in the store.
Collecting Funko Pops! is one thing, but have you ever wanted to create your own? Two different types are offered each day, and you pick everything from the body to the many accessories. As long as it snaps into place or fits in the hand, it is far game. You can even mix and match between the two types. Once your creation is finished, you can purchase it along with it’s own box.
Funko HQ is somewhere that every Funko collector should visit. The atmosphere is amazing and there are plenty of pictures to be taken. The whole store can be viewed in about an hour, but you will want to stay much longer. Who knows what you might find hidden on the shelves in the store?
