Welcome to the Raw review for April 8, 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

Night of Champions

Seth Rollins finally brought back the Universal Title to Raw. He said that he and the WWE Universe deserved to have a fighting champion and one who will fight every week. The New Day suddenly appeared with WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Taking a page from the main event. Kofi challenged Rollins to a winner take all match. It was happening until the Bar interrupted. A tag match commenced and the Champs won. Something might  come of this later.

New Faces

The Raw after Wrestlemania is reserved for new faces and returning veterans. Lars Sullivan made his debut, attacking Kurt Angle and showing the main audience why he is a freak of nature. Sami Zayn returned after having surgery to compete for the Intercontinental Championship. After his loss to Finn Balor, Zayn scolded the WWE Universe for only being critics. And finally, Elias tried to have his musical performance after warning that the next person who interrupted him would be a dead man. With that invitation, The Undertaker came out and Tombstoned him back to silence. And if you don’t know what that strange creature in the box is about, just follow the buzzards.

Lady vs The Man

Becky Lynch celebrated with the WWE Universe after her historic title win. She challenged Rousey whenever she was ready (not Charlotte however). As she walked back up the ring, Lacey Evans started her stroll. This time, she hit Lynch with a Women’s Right and a brawl commenced. The fact is this feud writes itself. Two different women with different values competing to be the best. The question is, what title will Evans go far?
Match of the Night
Sami Zayn vs. Finn Balor (Balor wins by pinfall)
The promo after the match was golden, but Zayn and Balor tore the house down for the longest match of the night. Zayn looked as if he hhad just wrestled the night before. Balor was in better shape then most of his co-workers and it showed in this fast paced and physical match. More of this please.
Conclusion
Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder beat the Revival. Black and Ricochet beat Gable and Roode.  Alexia beat Bayley. Dean Ambrose did not get his final match against Bobby Lashley. https://www.wwe.com/shows/raw
