Welcome to the Raw review for April 15, 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.
Shake up
Here is the list of Superstars that were announced for the Shake Up. The Miz is on Raw. Ricochet is on Raw. Aleister Black is on Raw. The Viking Experience (War Raiders) are now on Raw. Cedric Alexander is on Raw. Andrade and Vega are on Raw.. Rey Mysterio is on Raw. The Usos are on Raw. Naomi is now on Raw. Eric Young is on Raw. Lacey Evans is on Raw. AJ Styles is on Raw.
Scary
The strange bird puppet thing showed up again. I am one hundred percent it is Bray Wyatt, but WWE threw a curve ball near the end of the show. A scene played out with dolls in a dark room with eerie music playing. The camera then focused on a rocking chair and when the lights came up, a doll that looked like Jigsaw’s sister was cackling madly. I’m not sold on a double promo for Bray, since the bird one seems to be tongue in cheek while this was played straight. Sister Abigail? Someone new?
Match of the Night
Finn Balor vs. Andrade (Andrade wins by pinfall)
The shakeup has produced it first must have feud. Balor and Andrade just mesh incredibly well togther and the action was something you would expect to see at a pay-per-view. The near falls and spots were fantastic. Vega played a big part as well, and it looks like she will becoming more physical on the Raw brand.
Conclusion
The Viking Experience and The Revel beat Black, Ricochet, Ryder and Hawkins. The Usos beat Chad Gable and Roode. Bayley and Naomi beat the IIconics. Lynch beat Ruby Riott. Lacey Evans beat Natalya to become the new number one contender. Styles, Reigns, and Rollins beat McIntyre, Lashley and Corbin.
