A show that has episodes based on their months’ holiday’s? Sign us up! Into the Dark has premiered seven episodes so far on Hulu and we are reviewing the most current one to date which is “I’m Just Fucking With You”.

The show starts out with Larry driving down the road Tweeting while driving. He is on his way to a wedding that he doesn’t really want to go to. Larry is a scorned man who trolls a woman on Twitter who is the bride at the wedding he is going to. Why he would even go, I cannot fathom. The fact that he feels the need to internet bully someone shows his level of maturity and doesn’t make you root for him in any way.

He arrives at the Pink Motel and Lounge where he is staying for the night along with his sister. This is where he meets Chester, an overly enthused jokester who makes the night very eventful for Larry and Rachel.

Right off the bat, I could tell that there was something seriously messed up with Chester. His level of joking starts out innocent enough but soon turns deadly. Each time he does make a joker no matter how horrible he always says “I’m just fucking with you.”

He starts out with acting like Larry didn’t pay him for his room and escalates to murder eventually, but we will let you guys figure that out for yourself on what happens in the end.

What we can tell you is that the imagery is both fascinating and creepy all at once which gives it a B horror movie vibe. It tells a compelling story of a man who lives a different life online than who he is in front of people. People can take away from the episode that every action has an opposite reaction. It definitely has an interesting take on internet culture.

Episode 8 “All That We Destroy” premieres Friday, May 3rd on Hulu.
