Welcome to the Raw review for April 22, 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.

Contender

Who would challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship? That was a question that was on a lot of Superstars minds. After making their case to Triple H, The Game settled on two triple threat matches, with the winners facing each other for the right to fight Rollins and MITB. AJ Styles won his match and Baron Corbin won the other. The two faced off with Styles winning in the end. Styles vs Rollins has never happened in WWE and the result should be explosive

The Voice

Sami Zayn has been hitting out of the park since his return. What makes it work is the little bit of truth that is sprinkled in. Wrestling fans have a tendency to get sucked into the negative mindset. We think we know what would be better for the company and for the wrestlers involved. Zayn pointing it out is hard to argue with. The only thing that makes no sense, and this is a complement since a love a delusional heel, is if Zayn hated the WWE, why come back?

Fire Fly Funhouse

If you had guessed that the strange bird, the crackling doll and everything else would culminate in Bray Wyatt returning to the WWE in a strange Mr Rogers/Pee-Wee’s playhouse mashup, go buy a lottery ticket. One of the strangest things I have seen on WWE in a long while, Wyatt looked as if he had just gone through a round of electroshock therapy. It was unbelievable, funny and then scary. Wyatt could take this anywhere and this could blow up huge for him and WWE.

Match of the Night

The Miz vs. Baron Corbin vs. Drew Mcintyre (Corbin wins by pinfall)

The Shakeup has allowed matches like this top happen. Corbin and McIntyre fighting each other instead of teaming up was fresh, and the addition of the Miz gave the crowd someone to root for. You might be upset that McIntyre lost, but Corbin stealing the pin hurts him in no way and the match vs Rollins would have been a rerun. Save the Scottish Psychopath for a bigger stage..

Conclusion

The Viking Raiders beat Lucha House Party. Naomi beat Billie Key. Lynch beat Alicia Fox. Cesaro beat Cedric Alexander. Robert Roode beat Ricochet.
