Welcome to the Smackdown Review for April 30, 2019 For both this and Raw, I will go over what the big talking points were, pick the match of the night, and look ahead to the next show

Talking Points

Money in the Bank

The final eight people were announced for MITB. On the men’s side, Ali, Andrade, Finn Balor and Randy Orton. For the women, Mandy Rose, Carmella, Bayley and Ember Moon. Moon could have a breakout night as this match fits right with her. The same could be said for Ali. We now have the high flyers that always make a ladder match more exciting.

Championship Material

Kofi came out alone to relive his road to Wrestlemania and the betrayal by Kevin Owens. Kofi said that he would have given Owens a shot if he would have just asked. Owens came out and said that while Kofi winning was a moment, moments do not last. He said that Kofi was not championship material. This shows that Owens is playing mind games. Kofi will try and prove he can do it by himself, without the help of Xavier Woods.

Get Well Soon

Jeff and Matt Hardy came out to the ring, Jeff on crutches. Saying that the attack from Lars had injured him, The Hardy’s relinquished the titles. It was bittersweet, as Jeff and Matt never even got to defend the belts. Matt Hardy is once again a singles competitor and the shape he is in, he could do a few things. Here is hoping that Jeff heals up from surgery and comes back soon.

Match of the Night

Bayley vs. Becky Lynch (Lynch wins by submission)

Bayley makes it a second week in a row for this spot. This was a old school give and take. No flashy moves, just two Superstars going at it. Lynch got her first win over Bayley, but The Hugger is coming out looking stronger every week. She is still Bayley, but she is showing some of that fire with her buildup with Sasha Banks.

 Conclusion

Balor and Ali beat Andrade and Randy Orton.  Kari Sane and Askua beat some local talent. The B-Team fell to Roman Reigns, even with the help of special enforcer Elias. https://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown
