From the developers of Fran Bow, KillMonday Games, a new game is in the works called Little Misfortune. This is one of the games on my “I’m too excited to wait for this any longer,” list. The demo is currently available online (and boasts just as much mystery as we saw in Fran Bow.

The little girl Misfortune Ramirez Hernandez is the main character of this adventure. Her family seems to be French and Misfortune wants to seek out ultimate happiness. She goes out on an adventure through multiple landscapes and has a cute and creepy time.

Much like Fran Bow, there is some type of creepy monster and other little touches of horror and suspense as well. As of right now, it’s unclear if Misfortune has a time-bending vision changing ability. Somehow Misfortune does meet the Grim Reaper, dig around in a cemetery and still remain super cute while doing so.

Misfortune’s new friend is the narrator of the game Mr. Voice. He helps to guide her and she uses him to bounce thoughts and ideas off of. During their adventures together, Misfortune starts to learn that her actions have consequences. So a big point to this game is picking which path to take and seeing where it leads. Hopefully, in the end, Misfortune gets the happiness she seeks and if there is a prize, then her mom will get a gift from her daughter. However, the game states that this is the day she dies.

As of right now, the full game is said to be developed and finished sometime this year in 2019 but there is no particular month yet. More than likely Little Misfortune will be on PC too. So if this creepy and cute game is your style, keep an eye out from the developers and their updates and try this demo too!
