Welcome to the Raw review for June 10, 2019. For this and Smackdown, I will go over the talking points and pick the match of the night.
Waitng
Paul Heyman came to the ring to address Brock Lesnar’s failed cash in at Super Show Down. He said that due to Seth Rollins, the Beast and his advocate will not be saying when Lesnar will cash in. Heyman hinted that even if you don’t see Lesnar, he still might be anywhere Rollins is. We might be saying goodbye to the smiling Lesnar and a return to the destructive force of nature. Heyman also said that Lesnar might be the special referee for Rollins match against Corbin at Stomping Ground.
Love in an Elevator
R-Truth and Carmella were running from a gang of Superstars when they were trapped in an elevator with a few Superstars and no referee. We checked in with them through the night and there were some funny bits. Drake Maverick is getting married and the rest went from rivals to counselors as the night progressed. EC3 is starting to get some little gags in. From still having his red cup from the Memorial Day barbecue to suggesting cannibalism way too early, complete with fork.
What is Really Going on
FireFly Fun House. Rambling Rabbit and Mercy were arguing when Bray broke it up. Rabbit got the floor and he stared to revel something about the Fun House. Bray, complete with red noise and very large hammer, proceeded to smash Rabbit. Rabbit is made of jam which Bray tried to sell at the end. Utter madness. Probably the darkest episode to date. I feel crazy just writing about it.
Match of the Night
Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins (Owens wins by DQ)
This gets the nod for Sami Zayn as the referee/enforcer outside the ring. From checking Rollins for weapons to interfering when ever the referee’s back was turned, Zayn was all over this match. Owens and Rollins were rolling and Zayn added instead of taking away from the match
Conclusion
Lars destroyed the Lucha House Party. Bayley and Becky fell to Evans and Alexia. The Icconics beat some local talent. Ricochet, Strowman and The Miz beat Samoa Joe, Lashley and Cesaro. The Revival are the new Tag Team Champions, beating The Usos and Hawkins and Ryder
