The new gaming calendar has finally begun! One of my favorite games got some DLC content. Unfortunately secrets can’t be contained just to E3 anymore, so let’s go over what the excitement is all about. Kingdom Hearts III is part of my favorite collection, the Kingdom Hearts series. Just announced, Kingdom Hearts III will be getting DLC to the third game, but not much is known yet. Simply called Re:Mind, this looks to add more the world.
When Square Enix presented the trailer, there was only about 80 seconds of footage shown, not much time to take everything in. We do see however that the extension Re: Mind somehow focuses on Organization 13 and Riku. It also appears that you will be able to play as Riku, Aqua and Roxas. With that, we might also see some new battle techniques and skills. We do see that Sora has a new transformation for his keyblade.
Kingdom Hearts never got any DLC for the previous game, so this announcement came as a bit of a surprise Perhaps the designers released that making us wait all the time meant they needed to give us fans more content. No spoilers here, but the end of Hearts III did leave some things unresolved.
So far, it’s unclear how this DLC will fit in to the story or what exactly the story is going to add, so that’s a bummer. But, we did get a winter release date, so we don’t have to wait years to get something new related to Kingdom Hearts. I’m already excited to see what’s going to happen, I might even be willing to get a cool Organization 13 coat to play in.
