Loss can be debilitating, especially for a whole family. A father and his two daughters go on a trip in an RV to spread the ashes of his recently deceased wife. This episode is definitely a tear-jerker.

The father, Nathan is struggling taking care of his daughters after their mothers death. It mostly stemmed from the fact that he had pulled the plug on her after her cancer had gotten too far. She was in hospice care at home and it was only a matter of time.

This trip is meant to bring the family together and to spread the ashes where the father met Val (the mother). Clair is a broody teenager that is separating herself from the family, this time is usually never a good time for a teenager but her mother’s death has affected her terribly. Maggie seems to handle it much better and is trying to keep her dad’s spirits up.

It isn’t until they get close to where they are going to camp that they start seeing a mysterious child in a hood popping up at random moments. It starts to get scary as they start seeing things that aren’t actually happening.

This movie/episode is nothing like the Mother’s Day episode. It feels like there is more story and emotion, viewers can feel very connected to the characters even with the supernatural aspects. Many people have experienced this loss and the movie teaches about letting go of those painful experiences or else it will consume a person whole.
