Welcome to the Raw review for July 15, 2019.
Story Progression
Who will face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam? Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Baron Corbin, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, Sami Zayn, Big E, Braun Strowman and Cesaro faced off in a battle royal to determine the number one contender. All men fought hard, with Randy Orton and Rollins being the last two men. Rollins won and spoke how Summerslam will just be like Wrestlemania.
As Finn celebrated in the ring, lights began to flicker and turn off all over the aerna. In total darkness, the sounds of something happening in the ring could be heard. As strobe lights came on, Bray Wyatt, or rather the Fiend, held an unconscious Balor in his arms. One Sister Abigail later, and darkness descended again. Bray looks fantastic and this could be a huge preview of things to come.
Surprise
Drake Maverick and his wife Reene were trying to finaly have a normal Honeymoon. Drake was taking no chances, registering under a false name. Truth was not to be denied. He had a referee pose as a bellboy and then attacked and pinned Drake in the honeymoon suite. This story is nuts and I am loving it.
