Welcome to the Smackdown review for July 16, 2019.
Story Progression
The first ever Smackdown Town Hall did not go according to plan for Shane Mcmhaon. Roman started off by telling the boss to “kiss his ass”. Charlotte tried to brown nose, but was cut off by Liv Morgan. Buddy Murphy said he did not need Kevin Owens to fight his battles. Apollo and Andrade got into a war on words. Kofi tried to talk sense, but his microphone was cut. Shane ended the talk, but was attacked by a banned Kevin Owens.
Surprise
Daniel Bryan had teased that an announcement would be made in regards to his future. The New Day believed that it would be a rematch, but The Beard never spoke a word. He teased doing so a few times, but in the end he dropped the microphone and walked off. There is some speculation that he might be making a move to 205 Live. This would be a major boost to a program that usually does not get the respect it deserves.
