Welcome to the Raw review for July 29, 2019.
Story Progression
Natalya and Lynch took cheap shots at each other through the night. As Natalya was being interviewed after putting Lynch in the Sharpshooter, she said she wanted to challenge the Man to a submission match for Summerslam. This is a perfect match for these two ladies as they are defined by their submission moves. It seems that Natalya will not issue the challenge and make Lynch do it.
Brock Lesnar attacked Seth Rollins and the beating was brutal. After hitting the usual set of moves, Lesnar set up a chair and proceeded to F-5 Rollins three times on it. Rollins sold it like he was dying, even bleeding from the mouth. The attack did not stop there, as Lesnar pick Rollins out of the ambulance and then F-5 him agin on the stretcher. The best image was Heyman on his knees, pleading for Lesnar to stop.
Surprise
The 24/7 Championship has evolved to become one of the most interesting belts in the company. The story took a turn as Mike Kanellis got the belt. Maria then ordered him to lay down and pinned him. Maria is pregnant which sets up a question: Who would dare to pin a pregnant woman, even to win a championship? This story line has legs and it adds a new level to the belt. Maria can pull this off beautifully.
