Welcome to the Smackdown review for July 30, 2019.
Story Progression
Smackdown was in Memphis, so you just knew they would get Jerry “The King” Lawler involved. Bringing back King’s Court, Jerry welcomed Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. Lawlwer asked is she ever wanted one more match. Out came Charolette, bringing a Queen to the Court. Charlotte had said that she wanted a challenge for Summerslam and challenged Trish. This could be good as Stratus is in great shape and Charlotte needs a test before she goes back hunting for gold.
Surprise
Everyone’s favorite/horrifying show came back for a special episode of FireFly Funhouse. Rambling Rabbit talked up Finn Balor. Rabbit then got scared, saying Balor had made a mistake. He said Balor didn’t understand what he had done and that the Funhouse was not what everyone thought. Rabbit then ran as Bray appeared, looking angry then laughing. Later, The Fiend showed up to distract Balor and cost him a match. Will this bring out the Demon?
