Welcome to the Smackdown review for September 17, 2019.
Story Progression
We finally have the big match that was needed for Smackdown when it comes to Fox in October. Kofi was confronted by Paul Heyman and The Beast Brock Lesnar. Heyman laid out the challenge for Kofi’s WWE Championship on the premier show. Kofi accepted, as he always has, and was rewarded by an F-5. If Kofi can beat Lesnar, his reign will go down as one of the best. If.
Kevin Owens has decided to take his war with Shane out of the ring into the courtroom. He served Shane with a lawsuit, valued at 25 million dollars and the promise to fire Shane if he wins. Owens could never just keep doing attacks on Shane. By playing dirty just like him, Owens may put Shane in a position where he can not win.
Destruction. That was what closed the show. Rowan and Harper destroyed Daniel Bryan, stopped a charging Roman Reigns, and then proceeded to destroy the ring and anyone unlucky enough to be in their sights. These two feel more dangerous then they have in a very long while.
