They thought they could get away and forget, but eventually they all have to go back to Derry to face Pennywise sometime. This is where it all ends. There will be blood and tears.

It has been 27 years since the events of the first movie, and the killings are happening again. Mike Hanlon, now a librarian, reaches out to the rest of The Losers Club that Pennywise didn’t die and is coming back with a vengeance. The thing is, each of them has forgotten the events that happened in Derry but that doesn’t stop them from being very afraid. They may be all grown up but the thought of going back to Derry makes them feel like they are small children again.

Bill is a writer, Beverly a fashion designer, Ben an architect, Richie a stand-up comedian, Eddie is a risk analyst and Stan is an accountant. None of these jobs matter when they go back to Derry. They need the power of their friendship to defeat Pennywise and face the fears that plagued them even when they left Derry, and not everyone makes it out alive…

Pennywise is by far one of the scariest villains Stephen King has ever created. In this movie, he goes to new lengths to stop and kill The Losers Club. He doesn’t stop there though, he is eating his way through others in the small Maine town. Pennywise has been in my nightmares since I saw this movie. Which is why I’m taking this time to mark him as one of the best villains in movie history. Throughout the month of October, I will be covering various villains and their notoriety as a Kwinn Pop Halloween Special!

There were some points that I didn’t enjoy the film as much as the first movie or the 1990 original but it was adapted very well for the time. I haven’t read the book but watching this makes me want to pick up the large “It” book and give it a try. Those looking for a scare (especially those with a fear of clowns) will find terror in It Chapter 2.

It: Chapter 2 is in theaters now!
