Welcome to the Smackdown review for October 4, 2019.
Story Progression
Shane and Kevin Owens finally ended their saga. It was a good match, one where both men can be proud of what they did. The frog splash through the chair was particularity brutal. In the end, Owens climbed the ladder and Shane is gone from WWE. The only concern is who will Owens turn his sights on now?
Did Kofi deserve better then a three second match? Absolutely. This was not about him or Lesnar, it was about the largest new addtion to WWE. Rey Mysterio brought out Cain Velasquez , the man who beat Lesnar for the UFC Heaveyweight Title. Seeing Lesnar run out of the ring with a scared look in his eyes is a image that will be burned into my mind for awhile
