The Young Bucks vs. Private Party in the first round of the Tag Team Tournament is our first match.
The Bucks look like the stronger team. They have a smirk as they hit their moves on Private Party. You would almost consider them heels.
Matt putts on a Scorpion Death Lock and Nick hits moves to keep the move on. This is awesome, something you don’t usually see.
Private Party hits Gin and Juice and it throws off the Bucks. They try for a Metzler Driver, but Nick is taken out of the move. Quen picks up the win. Great match.
Chris Jericho comes out with the group who attacked Cody, Dustin and The Bucks from last week’s show. Jericho throws some shade at WWE.
The group is now known as the Inner Circle. Jericho finally gets some boos after running down Dusty Rhodes.
Jimmy Havoc vs. Darby Allen is next. The winner gets a shot at Chris Jericho and the title next week.
Another strange no call by the referee this week. Havoc bites Allen right in front of the referee and nothing is done.
Allen finally gets some offense in. He hits the Coffin Drop for the pin.
Emi Sakura and Bea Priestly take on Riho and Brit Baker next. Bea comes out looking like Raven from Teen Titans.
Emi actually trained Riho so this is master meets student. Riho is bearing the brunt of the assault. She finally takes out the other team with a top rope dive.
Brit starts wearing down Emi. Riho keeps Bea at bay. Brit puts on a stretch combined with a mandible claw and Emi taps.
We have an Orange Cassidy sighting.
Shawn Spears vs. Jon Moxley is up next. This will actually be Moxley’s first offically match in AEW. Pac joins the commentary table.
Moxly is just a madman. He is slamming Spears around the ring with abdonoment. Spears finally stops him with the use of ring steps.
Spears hits a running slam and Moxley’s head bounces off the concrete. That looked really painful.
After some brutal back and forth, Moxley hits the Paragon Shift for the pin. Omega comes out in Cleaner mode with some barbed weapons. He tosses one to Moxley. Pac attacks Omega before a fight breaks out.
Main Event time. Hangman Page and Dustin vs. Jericho and Sammy. Dustin starts off on fire. He destroys Jericho and then turns on Sammy. Dustin and Page hit consecutive clotheslines.
Jericho tries trash talking Page and the Hangman makes him pay. Hangman hits the clothesline of the century on Sammy. Dustin hits a top rope cross-body on Jericho and Sammy.
Jack Hager takes out Page on the outside. Dustin manages to take down Sammy and Jericho, but Jack attacks while the referee’s back is turned. Jericho hits the Judas Effect for the pin.
The battle continues after the bell. Cody comes down to help his brother. The rest of the Inner Circle attacks. MJF comes down to help best friend Cody. The Bucks join the party. Darby joins the fun. The Elite stand tall to end the show.
Final Thoughts: Can we please get some referee consistency?
