If it wasn’t scary enough, now the animatronics from FazBear Entertainment are coming straight to your door in Five Nights at Freddy’s AR: Special Delivery. Created by Illumix with input from Scott Cawthon, this game puts your location under assault from Freddy and company. How does this series translate to the augmented reality world? A little too well if you ask me.

You have just subscribed to a service that will send animatronics right to your door (God knows why). The problem is that these new “friends” start to malfunction. They are coming to attack you. The only things you have to defend yourself is a flashlight and a controlled shock. I forget to mention: Freddy and friends can become invisible to sneak up on you.

Special Delivery is broken up into two parts. The first is defending yourself from an animatronic that has popped up in your area. You have to scan your area and detect where the attack is coming from. When they charge you, you have to shock them at the right time. The other part is collecting light remments and avoiding the dark ones. Shadow Bonnie is here too. While you are collecting ,the game can switch back to attack mode without warning.

When you defeat your first endoskelton, you can send it out to collect parts or fill it with remments. This part of Special Delivery is a little confusing. What is clear is that you can send your creatures to attack your friends in the game, you know if you are just a terrible person in general.

Much like the previous games, Special Delivery has a story. Who, or what, is sending this creatures to people’s houses? One of the most important tips is to read the emails that are sent in game. New gameplay mechanics are dropped in without any explanation. Here is a tip for free. If your camera starts malfunctioning, shake it until it clears up.

Special Delivery needs to be played with no one else around. As you see the world start to glitch  and hear whispering all around you, it really makes you feel like you are in a horror movie. The game is free on mobile devices. See how big a streak you can get. And how long your nerves will hold out.
