Welcome to the Wrestlemania 36 Review. Here is night two.
Liv Morgan and Natalya will start things off on night two.
These two seem to be having a match just for the fun of it. Natalya is using reversals to counter what Morgan is throwing at her. Morgan needs to get crazy to gain an advantage.
Morgan misses a hip attack and Natalya slams her. She jumps on her while she is seated. Natalya does not get credit for how much her moves look like they hurt.
Morgan survives a surfboard attempt and tries to bounce off the middle rope, but Natalya catches her. They trade pinning combinations, and Morgan gets the three count.
Charlotte vs. Rhea Ripely for the NXT Championship.
Charlotte is playing with Rhea. The Nightmare is having none of it. The Queen chops her while telling her what championships she has one. Rhea hits the RipTide but Charlotte kicks out.
Things get physical quick. Rhea slams Charlotte from the ring to the floor. Charlotte responds with a throat punch. Rhea might be the toughest challenge Charlotte has faced.
Charlotte begins targeting Rhea’s leg. The referee asks Rhea if she wants to continue and she screams yes. Rhea is able to turn it around and hits a face buster.
Charlotte tries to get the Figure 8, but Rhea stops her and puts her in a Clover. Charlotte reverses it. They trade pinning combinations. Charlotte hits a spear, but Rhea kicks out.
Charlotte puts in the Figure 8 and Rhea is forced to tap. Good physical match and there are a lot of new faces for the Queen to play with on the gold brand.
Aleister Black vs Bobby Lashley is next.
Black tried a moonsault on the floor, but Lashley ducks out of the way. Lashley then slams him on the outside. He rams Black into the barricade before throwing him into the ring.
After surviving a suplex and quite a few shoulder tackles, Black gets back in the game with a knee to the face. Lashley gets a some seperation and tries a spear, but Black Mass seals the win for Aleister.
Dolph Ziggler vs Otis is next. Justice for Otis!
Otis is not playing around. He is chasing Ziggler all around the ring. Ziggler is able to use it to his advantage to try and put Otis to sleep. Otis slings him in the middle rope of the corner.
Otis is feeling no pain as he whips Ziggler hard into both sides of the ring. He pops up Ziggler, but Sonya distracts the referee for a low blow from Ziggler.
Mandy Rose shows up and slaps Sonya, and low blows Ziggler. Otis hits the caterpillar and gets the win. He and Mandy celebrate and kiss in the ring.
Edge vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match.
Orton is disguised like a camera man and hits an RKO on Edge before the match starts. The bell rings and Orton hits another RKO. Edge breaks the count, but Orton nails him with a camera.
The action heads backstage. Orton wraps Edge up in gym equipment. Edge finally is able to get some offense by kicking Orton through the gym cages.
Edge puts Randy in an office chair and then uses the chin up bar to launch himself through Orton. Orton tries to ram Edge with a sled but misses. We go to the gorilla position and back to the main ring area.
Into the hallway. Edge is hurting and Orton is slamming him against walls. In a conference room, Edge slams Orton’s head on the steel table. Edge telling Orton to beat the count is awesome. Edge climbs a cage on the ceiling and drops an elbow.
Battling in the hallway, the cameraman gets knocked out. We catch up in the warehouse. This is like getting a tour of the Performance Center. The battle ends with Orton on a table. Edge ascends a ladder and drops an elbow.
Orton is bleeding. He slams Edge on a pickup truck and performs a DDT. Edge escapes to the top of a semi trailer. Orton tries a punt, but Edge spears him. Another spear attempt leads to an RKO.
Orton grabs two chairs. He goes for a Con-Chair-To, but Edge uses the submission move he used on MVP. Edge is having second thoughts, crying, but he still nails Orton with a chair for the ten count. That ending gave me chills.
Angel Garza and Austin Theory vs. The Street Prophets for the Raw Tag Team Titles.
Austin and Angel know they have to be quick to beat the Prophets. Angel pulls off his pants to reveal different tights and throws them at Dawson followed by a kick.
A little too much bravado leads Dawson to tag Ford in. The man with limitless energy cleans house and jumps over the rope taking out Dawson and Austin. Angel follows with a moonsault.
Austin is able to hit his finishing move on Dawson, but Ford frog splashes him and Dawson rolls into the pin. Ford is his own fanfare.
A post match attack on Ford brings out Bianca Belair to attack Vega. She beats up Vega and celebrates with her husband and his teammate.
Fatal Five Way for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Tamina, Bayley, Lacey Evans, Sasha Banks and Naomi. This is an elimination type match.
A lot of action early on, but Tamina is causing the most trouble. Banks and Bayley are working together for the moment.
Team BAD reunites in the middle of the ring, but Tamina superkicks Banks. Naomi hits a neckbreaker on Tamina. The rest of the ladies team up and Tamina is eliminated.
Banks and Bayley team up on Naomi, but the Queen of Glow holds her own. Banks manages to get Naomi in the Banks statement and she tapes. Down to Bayley, Banks and Evans.
Evans is double teamed, but a knee by Bayley misses her and nails Banks. This is enough for a distinction for Evans to hit the women’s right on Banks. Banks is gone. Down to Evans and Bayley.
Evans and Bayley fight, but Banks manges to distract Bayley so that Bayley could get the pin and retain. Banks hands her the belt.
John Cena vs. The Fiend Firefly Funhouse match is next.
Cena is transported into the FireFly Funhouse. He follows Bray through the clubhouse and is confronted by his first match with Angle, but Bray is there.
This..is a little strange to describe. Bray is taking John through his life in a Nightmare on Elm street sort of way.
Bray is now in his Wyatt Family days talking about his lost to Cena at Wrestlemania. We follow Cena through WCW until we are back with The Fiend ending Cena. Cena then disappears. You just have to watch this to understand.
And then watch it again.
Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesner for the WWE Championship will close us out.
The match started with McIntyre nailing a Claymore in the opening seconds, Lesner kicked out and dodged a second to hit a few German suplexs.
Lesnar hits an F-5, but McIntyre kicks out at one! Another F-5, another kickout. Make it a third!
McIntyre hits a Claymore and then one more! A third puts Lesnar down and Mcintyre is the new WWE Champion! A prophecy fulfilled.
