Welcome to the Money in the Bank Review.
Jeff Hardy vs Cesaro will start us off.
Jeff goes for a flying elbow off the stairs, but Cesaro catches him and dumps him on the guard rail.
Jeff looks in great shape and great form. Cesaro whips him twice into the ring hard. One of the good things about no fans is that you can really hear the impact.
Jeff finally gets his groove back with some vintage Hardy moves. Cesaro stops one Whisper in the Wind, but can’t stop a second one.
Cesaro hits a Gut Rench suplex from the top rope. Jeff kicks out and eventually Cesaro’s knees give out. A swanton bomb gets the win. Good match.
New Day vs. Lucha Bros vs. Miz and Morrison vs Forgotten Sons for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship
Action is pretty chaotic. Kofi and Lucha start off, but the Forgotten Sons come in and clean house. Morrison tags in and launches him and his opponent over the top rope in the rest.
Since Woods is not here, Only the Forgotten Sons have a third man advantage. Every time one team tries a double team move, another team breaks it up.
The referee finally kicks Riker of the Sons out. Big E is able to hit the Big Ending of Melalick for the pin and the win.
R-Truth vs. MVP is next.
R-Truth still hears the universe in his head. MVP and R-Truth talk about balling. Bobby Lashley comes out and takes MVP’s place.
Truth tries to run, but Lashley catches him. A few moves later and Lashley hits the spear for the win. This is the Lashley I like, just a monster.
Tamina vs. Bayley for the Smackdown Championship.
Tamina is just destroying Bayley. Bayley runs until she grabs Tamina’s leg and wraps it around the ring. She puts Tamina’s down on the mat and pounds away.
Tamina nails a headbutt, but a superkick gets caught by Bayley in a leg bar. Tamina makes it to the ropes. Bayley tries a Samoan drop, but she crashes.
Tamina throws Bayley over the announce table. Banks gets in the ring, but Tamina chases her off. Tamina tries a Samoan Drop, but Bayley rolls through and gets the pin.
Brawn Strowman vs Bray for the Universal Championship.
Bray wants to talk but Strowman throws him around the ring. Bray keeps complamenting him as he gets knocked down. Strowman tries a Drive By but Bray sidesteps him and Strowman gets sent into the table.
As The pig puppet cheers from the stands, Bray starts nailing Strowman while arguing with himself. Sister Abigail only gets a two count.
Strowman chokeslams Bray and proceeds to splash him again and again. A second Drive By connects with the ring barricade.
Strowman appears with the Black sheep mask on and Bray loses his mind. The puppets cheer, but Strowman takes the mask off and stomps it. A powerslam gets the pin. Great ending!
Seth Rollins vs Drew Mcintyre for the WWE Championship is next.
Rollins is flying solo tonight. Drew starts off strong, but Rollins tries to to flip over him in the corner. Drew is ready for it and chops Rollins down.
Rollins uses his speed and a target on Drew’s legs to slow the Scotsman down. Rollins moves from submission to submission.
Rollins throws Drew outside and proceeds to hit a running knee off the table. A sucide dive is caught by Drew and Rollins is flipped onto the table.
A superkick and frog splash only gets a one count. Rollins thinks about a chair, but does not. Drew hits a head butt, but Rollins hits a top rope superplex and a Falcon’s Arrow. Two count.
Drew is caught in the corner, but manages to flip up and throw Rollins across the ring. He walks into a superkick and a stomp, but kicks out. An exchange of kicks ends with a Claymore and the pin.
The Money in the Bank Matches at WWE Headquaters are next. Both will be held at the same so we will give highlights as best as we can.
Askua starts from a balcony and wipes the other women out. She grabs the elevator while the others head for the stairs. Corbin breaks a mirror in the weight room and looks scared.
Rey runs into Brother Love in the bathroom. The women reach the next level and run into the men. Otis chants yes as Bryan kicks Corbin. Doink appears. The women fight in the boardroom and are interrupted by Stephanie.
AJ sees a picture of the Undertaker and has some flash backs to the boneyard. A strange room with a casket holds more horror as he is locked in by Black. The boys and girls have a food fight in front of Paul Heyman.
Nia and Otis have a face off. Otis enjoys the cafeteria and uses a Pie on Paul Larengities. The fights and chaos. AJ and Bryan fight into Vince’s office and The Boss kicks them out.
We finally get to the roof. The women get there first. Askua and Corbin battle on the roof. Askua grabs the briefcase. Down to the men.
Corbin throws Rey and Black off the roof! Corbin and AJ fight over the briefcase, but Elias nails Corbin and AJ loses the briefcase. Otis gets the case and wins.
Results
Jeff Hardy beat Cesaro.
The New Day won the Fatal Fourway to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
Bobby Lashley beat R-Truth.
Bayley beat Tamina to retain the Smackdown Championship.
Strowman beats Bray to retain the Universal Championship.
Drew Mcintyre beat Rollins to retain the WWE Championship.
Askua won the Women’s Money in the Bank.
Otis won the Men’s Money in the Bank.
Final Thought
Very shocking who won.
