One of the most convenient ways to get your gaming in is, you guessed it, your phone. Next to the Switch, we pretty much have them on us at almost all times. Occasionally, especially in the bored times we are in at the moment, you might go on a mobile gaming binge. So here are some of the games I have tried in this two-part article.
Baker Business 3
Cooking games were really hot there for a minute and I went on a food tour binge with many games but recently discovered Baker Business 3 by Living Code Labs. The concept is really easy and the developers are very transparent that they need your support in order to grow. Like other games, Ads will be a part of making things go faster so they openly ask you to consider watching them to make your ovens cook faster. The game is realistic in the sense that you buy each ingredient, cook the cookies or breads (and way more) and then switch to the front of your store to sell the items you have made to customers. The money is shown in the form of USD so buying ingredients was scary at first but it wasn’t real money. The only downside to this game that I can see is the sensitivity, or time to complete a purchase (by touching the register) is slow. The items don’t seem to react quickly enough to the touch, but rest assured I’m going to be the best baker ever!
Hellopet
Admittedly, my love for animals got me on the next game called Hellopet by ApplePie Studio. This game also is food involved but I didn’t know that at the time. You show up to your grandmother’s house and find it in disrepair and find a little dog hanging around. You and your grandmother share a love of pets, but in order to restore the home (and pets) you must fill dog food orders. There is a small section with a grill and water to make up fresh pet food and serve it up to each animal that comes your way for that time frame. Pretty simple concept, but serving starts to become fast as each animal stops by. Even if I were to get frustrated at the levels, I really like being able to interact with the animals.
Coffee Craze
On my mobile gaming adventure, I also discovered a game called Coffee Craze by FiveAmp. I would call this more of a casual business game and a tapper. As the founder of a new coffee shop, you have to get your coffee made, earn new recipes, upgrade all of your employees as soon as possible and make sure the automatic belt is moving at full speed to deliver your coffee to the front of the store. Coffee Craze also has events, but as you expand your store, the chaos gets real with all of the tapping and money boost. A very fun time killer.
Numberzilla
Lastly, I got sucked in by one of the game ads that show up and ended up trying out the game Numberzilla by AppCraft LLC. This is one of those brain games that looks similar to the puzzle game Sudoku except you are matching numbers and making quantities of ten in order to clear the board. So far, I have not cleared the board and had to do the tutorial over. In some cases, the pairs that seem to match, don’t. If you are into brain benders such as this, give it a try with the classic, survival or dynamic modes.
If you have not tried any of these games before, then give them a whirl in your free time. They are surprisingly addicting and fun! Come back next time for the second part of this article.
