One of the most convenient ways to get your gaming in is, you guessed it, your phone. Next to the Switch, we pretty much have them on us at almost all times. Occasionally, especially in the bored times we are in at the moment, you might go on a mobile gaming binge. So here is the second parte of the games I have tried in this two-part article.
Egg Inc
The first game I tried this week is called Egg Inc by Auxbrain Inc. I’m not sure why this game caught my attention other than their advertising was great and funny. The goal here is to tap like crazy on the big red chicken button to fill the hen houses as full as possible to make money from the eggs you are selling. As you make more money, you have the ability to keep upgrading your farm. You can upgrade the hen houses, delivery trucks and silos in order to gain prestige and money. While doing this, you also do research to make better eggs. All the while you are tapping like crazy. Newspapers are delivered about how scientific eggs are changing the world. As your profits grow, so does your farm, into a futuristic type farm that is. This is definitely a fast paced game with a lot of upgrades. You can watch ads to increase benefits and you can choose to purchase golden eggs which allow for Epic Research, but it is not necessary. Make sure to tap on the drone that flies by too for some extra cash.
Vineyard Valley
Vineyard Valley from Jam City seemed like a decent casual game so I loaded that one up to discover that it is more of a match and blast game. The small video at the beginning pulls really hard at the heart strings to set up the story, but gets you to the same place as other games in this category. The goal is to complete each level with boosts to start repairing the old vineyard. Most levels are easy at first and progressively get harder. The story though seems to be balanced without needing to stop every 5 seconds to try and work up to another task. So if you’re looking for something to kill the time, or if you just like completing a story then this is a good one to work through.
Premium Coloring Book
One of my favorite “games” is the Premium Coloring Book from Pixign, if you can call it a game. So far this is my go-to mobile option to kill time and to get frustrated with. Players have to color each image (which is not always so easy). Seasonal events offer keys that unlock special holiday image sets and the exclusive images usually have a really cool color palette when completed. Kids have their own category too! My goal in life is to finish as many images as possible in order to unlock the different missions (such as coloring 1000 images…yes, I have that). Players can choose to pay $2.00 USD a month to unlock the exclusive images but don’t have to. New images are added daily and are usually packed with extreme detail, so finding all of the spots to color can be super frustrating. Definitely worth looking into if you’re the artsy type.
Battle Forces FPS
Last but not least is Battle Forces FPS by Full HP Ltd. This is an early access shooter. These are not normally my go-to since either I get way too involved and don’t want to put it down, or I die a lot. There is always a learning curve when getting started though, so death it is. Battle Forces is an online shooter in a cyberpunk atmosphere. Weapons can be customized, and there are a lot, and 6 heroes to choose from. Almost everything seems customizable here. Get involved in the leagues, play the pvp modes (4×4 or 5×5 or even assemble your own team. All of the characters have their own stories too which is fun to learn when you aren’t battling. So far there is no official release date so get in there and test everything out and give your feedback! This is also rated T for Teen since there is violence, blood and in-game purchases, but have fun anyway.
If you have not tried any of these games before, then give them a whirl in your free time. They are surprisingly addicting and fun!
